What started as the post-collision remains of a Buell Lightning X1 has been turned into the latest custom creation from Deus Ex Machina: “The Bully.” After having its chassis stabilized and receiving a new subframe and swingarm, the bike was given an artistically crafted makeover with predominately American-made parts and an aesthetic equally inspired by both the 1980s and a pair of the unnamed owner’s custom-designed Nike high-tops. Sporting a seat straight off an ’80s Superbike and a matching aluminum tank reminiscent of a TZ250, “The Bully” boasts an asymmetric fender custom aluminum parts from Rizoma USA and a specially-built rear shock from Works Performance’s Pierre Vallaincourt. Although this bad body isn’t on the market, those interested in obtaining a similar creation for themselves can hit up Deus for a custom build.
